• Peter Rivard Joins Suffolk Healthcare


Peter E. Rivard, Ph.D., has accepted the position of Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration in the Healthcare Department, beginning July 1st.

Peter has extensive experience as a healthcare administrator, he has advanced degrees in both Medical Care Organization (M.H.S.A., University of Michigan School of Public Health) and Management (Ph.D., Carroll School of Management at Boston College), and he has taught healthcare and other management courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels for several years. He has just completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the center for Organization, Leadership and Management Research (COLMR) at the VA Boston Healthcare System. He was also an Instructor of Health Policy and Management at the Boston University School of Public Health.

As an Assistant Professor, Peter will spend his time conducting research, teaching, and providing service in the Healthcare Department, including advising students. In the fall semester, he will teach Managerial Epidemiology, Health Information Systems, and Innovation: The Future of Healthcare. In the spring semester he will teach Organizational Behavior in Healthcare and Health Systems II.
