Suffolk University baseball players Reid Jackson and Bobby Barrett will represent Suffolk in the Abbot Financial OldTime Baseball Game at 7 p.m on Thursday, Aug. 21 in Cambridge, Massachusetts at St. Peter's Field. Jackson is a left-handed pitcher entering his senior season at Suffolk. Barrett is a catcher entering his junior season for the Rams.
The Oldtime Baseball Game offers a glimpse of what it was like in the old days in local semipro leagues. The game features a collection of flannel uniforms from every era in baseball, including uniforms from the Negro leagues, Boston Braves, St. Louis Browns, and Brooklyn Dodgers.
Proceeds from the game go to the Todd J. Schwartz Memorial Fund which supports the Jimmy Fund Clinic at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Players are selected from area colleges and universities.
