Fifth annual AILA New England Immigration Law Symposium

9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2008
Suffolk University Law School
120 Tremont St., Boston

Sponsored with the New England Chapter of American Immigration Lawyers Association

The fifth annual AILA New England Immigration Law Symposium offers solutions to the practical and strategic obstacles all immigration lawyers confront.

National experts and current and former government officials will offer insights on how to navigate both agency matters and case problems. The discussion will address issues facing the immigration practitioner today, including the most recent agency policy guidance and work site enforcement matters.

Immigrant visa processing will be addressed as seen from the inside of the Vermont Service Center and the National Visa Center. Updates will be given on Service Center and National Visa Center policies and practices that shape the adjudication of cases.  The conference concludes with insights from a U.S. District Court Judge, the Hon. Nancy Gertner.

Ample time for questions and answers will be provided.

While novice practitioners are encouraged to attend, the program will not focus on the basic “how-to’s” of immigration filings.
