• Suffolk’s Connections Job Fair brings the job search directly to students!

Boston, MA- On Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 4-6pm Suffolk hosts its annual Connections Job Fair at the Ridgeway Gym. More than 50 employers will be attending this event specifically to recruit graduating Suffolk students. According to Laura Marchant, Assistant Director of Employee Relations, "Connections 2008 promises to be a lively networking event with over 55 employers and 275+ students participating. Employers representing all industries are recognizing that the Suffolk student has academic accomplishments and gainful experience which allows them to be well prepared for the real world." Undergraduate and graduate students of all majors are encouraged to participate.

With midterms over and graduation right around the corner, it’s time for students to start thinking about careers. Take advantage of this on campus recruiting event to jump start your job search and introduce yourself to prospective employers. Suffolk’s Connections Job Fair gives you the chance to expand your professional network and distinguish yourself in a crowded job market by meeting face-to-face with company representatives. Remember to dress professionally and bring plenty of updated resumes.

Employers attending the fair represent a diverse range of career fields including finance, health care, business management, information technology, mass media, as well as government and non-profit agencies. Several organizations are returning to the Connections job fair after successfully recruiting Suffolk students. Evergreen Investments’ Kristen Donahue explains, "Evergreen is pleased to be a part of the Suffolk job fair. Being in the heart of Boston, Evergreen has been able to utilize Suffolk students for co-ops and full-time positions. We think Suffolk students are well rounded and talented individuals who have a great deal to offer our company. We have been very pleased with the partnership we have developed with the school over the past couple of years." Other participating employers include Blue Cross Blue Shield of MA, Bright Horizons, Clear Channel Communications, Defense Contract Audit Agency, Department of Corrections, eDialog, the Internal Revenue Service, Fours Seasons Hotel Boston, Hill Holiday, Mellon Financial, Social Security Administration, State Street Bank, Tuft’s Health Plan, and WHDH-TV.
