Design for the Environment

3/11/2008

The New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University is hosting Design for the Environment, a green/sustainable design trade show, from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 13, in the 10 Saint James Avenue Galleria in Boston.

The design community, along with society as a whole, has become aware that it must take a new, more "bio-friendly" approach to design.

Educated designers must be conversant with both design strategies and building technologies associated with environmentally responsible structures and spaces.

Green buildings are designed to maximize the efficiency of energy and water systems and the use of recycled materials in construction.

The Design for the Environment trade show presents vendors that are adapting and responding to changing global energy and resource issues.
