The Department of Communication and Journalism and the Women and Gender Studies Program at Suffolk University present a panel discussion, "Women in Resistance: Sisterhood, Witches, and Cyberellas."

Panelists include: Kumi Silva (Northeastern University), who will examine how women make meaning of their lives through the Sarvodaya Social Movement from a 'contextually' situated third world feminist perspective,  Sarah Shorey (MA '07) and Bruce Wickelgren (CJN), examining the silencing of self-identified witches who worship Goddesses and the feminine divine, and Kirsten Blocker (Crittenton Women's Union) discusses a project that teaches poor women to blog about their political concerns.
