• Suffolk On Track to Beat 2007 Recycle Mania Performance

Suffolk is successfully outpacing last year's performance in the annual Recycle Mania competition.  This is Suffolk's second year participating in this national competition.  Each week Suffolk University reports its trash and recycling weights.

As part of the University's ongoing efforts to raise awareness about recycling, students host informational tables throughout the year, but particularly during the 10-week Recycle Mania competition.

If Suffolk continues recycling at its current rate, it will fulfill its target recycling rate of 33% of the total waste stream.  In order to achieve this, members of the Suffolk community are asked to recycle all clean glass/metal/plastic (except for Styrofoam), paper (except napkins), and cardboard (except greasy cardboard).  For questions regarding proper recycling, email recycle@suffolk.edu.

To view weekly numbers for Suffolk and the hundreds of other participating schools from around the country, visit http://www.recyclemaniacs.org/.

The competition concludes in early April.
