• Are The Massachusetts School Expulsion Laws Working?

Juvenile Justice Center sponsors conference to raise awareness

9 a.m. - 1 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008
Suffolk University Law School
120 Tremont St., Boston

Time to stop and reconsider:
Are the Massachusetts' School Expulsion Laws really making Massachusetts schools safer?

The goal of this conference is to raise awareness about school expulsion laws -- especially Massachusetts G.L. ch. 71, Section 37H and 37H1/2  -- the impact those laws have, not only on the short- and long-term lives of the children affected, but on the present and future safety of our communities. The conference also will consider whether these laws require reform.

This program is free. Please register in advance by calling the Juvenile Justice Center at 617-305-3200.  Space is limited.
