BOSTON, Mass.--  Junior Rob Williams-Hinton (Oak Park, Mich.) scored 19 points to lead three players in double figures as Emmanuel posted a 68-55 Great Northeast Athletic Conference men’s basketball victory over Suffolk Saturday afternoon at the Jean Yawkey Center.

The host Saints (3-4, 2-0 Great Northeast) scored 16 of the game’s first 17 points in the first 4:39 of action and extended their advantage to as many as 19 points in the opening 20 minutes of play before settling for a 41-24 edge at the break.  Emmanuel opened the second half on a 10-4 run to take a 23-point lead (51-28) with 15:13 remaining in the contest, building that margin to as many as 24 points after intermission en route to the triumph.

Junior Mack Spellman (Clinton, N.Y.) added a double-double effort of 14 points and a game-high 13 rebounds in the win for Emmanuel, who also received 14 points and eight boards from senior Levi Smith (Tulsa, Okla.).  The Saints shot 43 percent from the field and connected for six three-pointers while holding a 49-40 rebounding advantage for the afternoon.

Sophomore Josh Teixeira (Braintree, Mass.) led the visiting Rams (1-8, 0-2 Great Northeast) in the scoring column with 13 points and eight rebounds, while sophomore Alan Jaziri (Norwich, Conn.) added 11 points and four steals for Suffolk, which also received nine points and four assists from freshman Mike Fleming (Exeter, N.H.).  Sophomore Joseph Ransom (Sheffield, England) collected six points and seven rebounds for the visitors, who also received six points and six boards from junior Brian Small (Stoughton, Mass.) as the Rams shot just 28 percent from the floor, including just 22 percent in the opening half of action.

Suffolk will be idle until after the New Year, as the Rams return to action on Tuesday, January 8th by heading to New Haven, Conn. to take on Albertus Magnus in a Great Northeast outing at 7:00 p.m., while Emmanuel travels to Beverly, Mass. on Thursday evening to take on Endicott in a non-league match-up at 7:00 p.m.
