150 Tremont St., Boston

Suffolk’s Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) program provides realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. It is a comprehensive, women-only course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and risk avoidance, while progressing to the basics of hands-on self-defense training. It is not a martial arts program.

Suffolk’s RAD courses are taught by nationally certified instructors. Each student receives a workbook/reference manual. There are two certified members on campus who team up to provide a 12-hour training session. The RAD program is free of charge to all members of the University community. Participants are encouraged to wear workout clothes.

For further information, contact Officer Moe Brown at the University Police at 617-573-8333.
