Advantages of Early Action Admission

High school seniors applying to colleges and universities would do well to consider Early Action admission programs. Early Action admission decisions are non-binding (unlike Early Decision) and offer the applicant the option of applying early to other colleges or applying to other colleges under regular admissions processes. Early Action applicants may find that stress is reduced if they are notified of an acceptance offer earlier in the admission process. In addition, time and money spent on multiple applications may be saved by reducing the number of schools considered if a first choice college acceptance is received early.

At Suffolk University, we offer the opportunity for freshman applicants to be considered for early action based on academic achievement through their junior year. The deadline for this program is November 20. Decisions are made and candidates notified by December 20. If you are not offered early action, you may be considered for later admission through the regular decision process.
