• Organics Recycling Pilot

Who said recycling was a chore?  Sodexho kitchen staff member Paul Dutton has fun with the University’s new organics recycling pilot program.

In October, Facilities and Sodexho kicked off a pilot program at the Law School kitchen to save food waste from ending up in landfills.  As a result of separating food waste, thousands of pounds a month are being picked up by a recycling vendor called Save that Stuff and delivered to a farm to be turned into compost.  In the first month, the kitchen reccyled 2,600 pounds of food waste.

Suffolk and Sodexho are now exploring the option of expanding the program to additional kitchens.
