Women's Soccer Beaten By St. Joseph ME

STANDISH, Maine--  Sophomore Anna Willis (Gorham, Maine) netted a pair of goals, while fellow sophomore Brianna Jordan (Scarborough, Maine) added a goal and two assists as Saint Joseph’s (Maine) remained unbeaten by posting a 7-1 Great Northeast Athletic Conference women’s soccer victory over Suffolk Wednesday afternoon at Monks Field.

Markers by Jordan and freshmen Jessica Needham (East Bridgewater, Mass.) and Elizabeth McCarthy (Portsmouth, R.I.) staked the host Monks (11-0, 7-0 Great Northeast) to a 3-0 lead at the break, and tallies by Willis and freshman Elizabeth Theberge (Danvers, Mass.) in the first 10:46 following intermission extended the Saint Joseph’s edge to 5-0.

Freshman Jamie Tracy (Milford, Mass.) accounted for the visiting Rams’ (0-7, 0-7 Great Northeast) tally with her first collegiate goal in the 68th minute, while Willis and freshman Allie Smith (Belgrade, Maine) netted markers in the 73rd and 77th minutes, respectively, to close out the Monks’ scoring.
