• The 30-Minute Career Workout: Suffolk Seniors Shape Up, Again

10/4/2007

BOSTON, MA – It’s time to shape-up again! Seniors can get career fit with the 30-minute career workshops offered through Suffolk’s Office of Career Services and Cooperative Education.

In an effort to meet the demands of seniors’ busy schedules, Betsy McDowell, Associate Director, Career Services created the “30-Minute Seminar for Seniors” last year. This 30-minute format allows seniors to quickly and easily gain the information they need without making a significant time commitment. McDowell states, “It gives seniors a chance to have a weekly drop-in session where they can get a quick overview of a topic as they start to think about graduation.” McDowell also thought having the seminars on set days and times would be easier for students to remember than past events which took place at different times each week. Students should take advantage of these short and sweet seminars to better prepare for their future.

The fall schedule of Career workouts taking place at 20 Ashburton Place is as follows:
30 Minutes to a Great Resume

Wednesday – October 10 – 2-2:30 pm
Friday – October 12 – 12-12:20 pm
