Initiative for Diversity in Civic Leadership

Now accepting applications for 2008

The Initiative for Diversity in Civic Leadership offers a 16-week curriculum in leadership, public policy, campaign training, and public administration on Monday evenings at Suffolk University.

The Initiative for Diversity in Civic Leadership (IDCL) provides education and nonpartisan training opportunities to help individuals from diverse political backgrounds to successfully run for elected office, manage and run political campaigns, and serve in all levels of government.

The mission of the Initiative is develop a new generation of leaders of color committed to public service in order to ensure a more representative democracy and a diverse civic community in Boston.

Collaborative partners include Oiste, MassVOTE, and Suffolk University.  Major funding is provided by The Boston Foundation, The Hyams Foundation, New Community Fund, Access Strategies, and The Herman and Frieda Miller Foundation.
