BOSTON, Mass.-- The Suffolk volleyball team dropped a pair of 3-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference matches to St. Joseph (Conn.) and Emerson in a league tri-match played Saturday afternoon at Emerson’s Piano Row Gymnasium.
Senior Noel Moran (Dartmouth, Mass.) notched 18 kills and 18 digs in the two contests for the Rams (3-10, 2-6 Great Northeast), who fell by game scores of 30-24, 33-31 and 34-32 to the Blue Jays in the opener before dropping a 30-15, 30-23, 30-12 decision to the host Lions in the nightcap.
Sophomores Amanda Marcotte (Middleboro, Mass.) and Kelsey Armstrong (Corvallis, Ore.) each registered seven kills in the setback to St. Joseph, while freshman Julie Sullivan (Haverhill, Mass.) recorded 41 set assists on the day.
Suffolk heads across town on Thursday evening for a non-league match with Wentworth that begins at 7:00 p.m.
