Suffolk University Announces Establishment of New PhD Program in Economics

11/15/2002

Boston, MA -- Suffolk University is pleased to announce the establishment of a new PhD program in Economics. The new program, which will begin in the fall of 2003, allows students to concentrate their study in one of two in-demand fields: Economic Policy or International Economics.

The PhD in Economics program will offer recent college graduates and career professionals a uniquely convenient program of study. The program will offer part-time study and will schedule evening classes to suit the needs of working professionals seeking to advance their careers.

By offering a PhD in Economics, Suffolk rounds out the complete offerings of its Economics Department, which already offers degrees at the Bachelors level and at the Masters level in Economic Policy and in International Economics. Students will find the PhD in Economics program conforms to the same rigorous standards and focus on applied economics for which Suffolk's Masters in Economics programs are known.

The PhD program in Economics has a website at http://www.suffolk.edu/cas/economics/phd/index.html

This PhD in Economics program is the second PhD program offered by Suffolk University. Suffolk's PhD in Psychology program has been thriving since its introduction in 1994.
