BOSTON -- E-commerce has empowered customers to take control of an industry as they did in the Napster case. Industry thought leader, Patricia B. Seybold, has determined how companies can capitalize on this emerging trend to create value.

Seybold will be the featured speaker as Suffolk University celebrates the 25th anniversary of its Executive MBA program from 6 - 8:30 p.m., Thursday, April 5, at the Boston Harbor Hotel.

Seybold is the founder and CEO of the Patricia Seybold Group (www.psgroup.com), a worldwide strategic e-business and technology consulting firm based in Boston. In 20 years of computer industry consulting, she has gained a reputation for accurately predicting which new information technologies will change business processes and transform industries.

She is the author of the bestseller"Customers.com" and the recently released "The Customer Revolution," which identifies the customer as the fundamental source of value in the new economy.

Suffolk University's Sawyer School of Management was a harbinger of things to come when it introduced its Executive MBA program in 1975, becoming the first business school in Boston to recognize the need for a program that would be accessible to working businesspeople.

More than 1.300 alumni working in business worldwide look back on the intensive learning experience shared with peers as the catapult for their success. Many of them will join Suffolk faculty, friends and staff to hear Seybold's cutting-edge analysis of the evolving e-business scene.
