Susan Nichter: Never Been Seen

Susan Nichter’s drawing and brushwork is at the same time simple yet deeply complex, reflecting the ideas of string theory and psychic intuition that heavily influences this new body of work. Susan skillfully balances a palate of electric yet soothing colors and emotional tensions with calmness. A painter for more than twenty years, Nichter’s work explores a multifaceted narrative. Her figures dance in between layers of colors and transparency as if they are traversing through different layers of existence. The exhibit Never Been Seen features a new series of figurative paintings and related digital prints.

Susan Nichter is a full time painting professor at the New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University. She has an M.F.A. from Boston University and her work has been widely seen in recent years around New England, New York and Canada.
