Sue Morelli, President & CEO of Au Bon Pain, to speak to MBA Students

The Suffolk MBA Programs Office is pleased to announce the new "Bring Your Boss or Colleague to Breakfast" series!

Held once each semester, current MBAs and Global MBAs will have the opportunity to interact with a leading business executive, and share the experience with a colleague or their employer.

The Inaugural Event will be held on October 10th and features Ms. Susan Morelli, CEO and President of Au Bon Pain. Ms. Morelli will be talking about her experience extending the reach of Au Bon Pain across global markets.

Currently there are 255 Au Bon Pain locations in the US -- company cafes in Boston, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Washington DC, with franchisees in 19 states -- and South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand. Named President and CEO in January 2006, she is deep into a five-year plan to double Au Bon Pain’s size worldwide.

Ms. Morelli's Biography

Since joining Au Bon Pain in 1988, Ms. Morelli has had responsibility for a myriad of disciplines including Marketing, Catering, Human Resources-Senior Recruiting, Concept Strategy, Special Projects for Operations, Corporate Communications, and Corporate M&A. Before being appointed President and CEO in 2006, Ms. Morelli served for one year as Interim President leading the management buyout.

Immediately prior, she was VP Institutional Sales, landing some of the Company’s most prestigious new hospital and university locations. From 1984-1988, Ms. Morelli worked in the cable television industry at American Cablesystems, a successful start-up that was sold to Continental Cablevision.  Ms. Morelli earned a BA in Economics from Yale University in 1981, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1984.
