  • Satisfactory Progress Policy

Suffolk University students must be making satisfactory academic progress in order to qualify for any form of financial assistance (grants, scholarships, loans or employment). Satisfactory progress is evaluated at the end of each academic term by the Financial Aid Office in conjunction with the Academic Standing Committee of each school. Academic progress requirements for financial aid recipients stipulate the following:

  1. During the first two years of enrollment (full- or part- time) students are required to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 1.8.
  2. After two years of enrollment students are required to maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0.
  3. Note: Merit programs carry different eligibility requirements. Refer to specific program descriptions.
