Licensure for Teaching History in the Middle School of Secondary School
Undergraduate students who wish to obtain initial licensure in middle school teaching in Massachusetts must complete the 48-credit-hour English/History for Middle School Teachers Major in the Department of Education and Human Services. Undergraduate students who wish to obtain initial licensure in secondary school history should major in history, completing 48 credit hours in history and an additional 32 credit hours in the Department of Education and Human Services.
