Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design

Earning your Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree and developing a strong portfolio are essential components if you want to succeed as a graphic designer. One of the reasons The New England School of Art & Design at Suffolk University graphic design graduates excel in this competitive field is because they're cross-trained in both traditional visual arts and cutting edge technologies.

The School of Art & Design's BFA is structured to give you a solid foundation in visual arts upon which you build your design skills. Once you've mastered the conceptual techniques, you'll move onto the major specific coursework, where you'll translate your traditional training into electronic mediums. Each semester you'll have the opportunity to participate in portfolio reviews, where you'll receive extensive critiques. As a result of this ongoing feedback, you'll create an increasingly sophisticated body of work while you progress through the curriculum.

Upon completing your BFA from The School of Art & Design, you'll not only have a professional-level portfolio, but the hands-on experience of an internship, to make you marketable and competitive in the design field.
