A contingent of student orientation scholars and administrators from the University’s Orientation & New Student Programs office joined their peers at the National Orientation Directors Association (NODA) regional conference in Providence, R.I. to share orientation, transition, and retention experiences.
The orientation scholars worked in teams with undergraduate students from other institutions in a Case Study Competition designed to develop and present solutions for common orientation issues.
Allison Duchacek’s team won “Best Overall” and Bianca Bellot was in the “Best Communication” group. Graduate student leader Rose Dolan was a team mentor.
