While many of their friends enjoy a relaxing Spring Break, four Suffolk University volunteer teams are serving communities in Mississippi, Texas, and Massachusetts through Alternative Spring Break.
Teams traveling out of state are made up of 18 students and two facilitators. They have tackled the following:
Closer to home, 15 Suffolk students and one facilitator are spending two days at the Boys and Girls Club in Salem, working with children, helping to clean and beautify the facility, and assisting with a club fundraiser.
The University's Alternative Spring Break program, now in its ninth year of engaging in meaningful service during Spring Break week, is coordinated by the S.O.U.L.S. Community Service and Service Learning Center.
