Murphy Scores 20 To Reach 1,000 Points In GNAC Games

Senior John Murphy (North Reading, MA) scored 20 points to reach 1,000 points in GNAC games and lead his Suffolk University Men's Basketball squad over visiting Daniel Webster 95-58 on Senior Day Saturday at Regan Gymnasium.

Freshman Alan Jaziri (Norwich, CT) added 15 points on 6-7 shooting in the Suffolk victory. Sophomore Brian Small (Stoughton, MA) hit five of his seven shots to finish with 12 points and 5 rebounds.

Jaime Bryant led Daniel Webster with 13 points and 8 rebounds.

Suffolk exploded in the first half, taking a 57-26 lead into the break. The Rams shot an 62 percent from the field in the half and finished the game shooting 49 percent. The Suffolk defense also stepped up forcing 20 Daniel Webster turnovers.
