Celebrating the Life and Achievements of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The Museum of African-American History  will celebrate the life and achievements of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., with an event featuring the musical talents of young people from the Greater Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Intensive Community Program.

The program will be presented as part of the Suffolk University Centennial Partnership Series.

The musicians will perform orchestral renditions of gospel, spirituals, classical music. There also will be readings from the speeches of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The African Meeting House, part of the Museum of African American History, is celebrating its 200th anniversary, while its Beacon Hill neighbor Suffolk University marks its Centennial year.

The celebration is free and open to the public.
