7News (WHDH-TV) and Suffolk University today announced that it would continue its exclusive partnership by conducting a series of polls for the upcoming Presidential primary and the final election showdown in November 2004. The polls will deliver on-air and on-line results as well as comprehensive voter profiles.

This unique partnership will build on the momentum generated from the polling relationship developed by 7News and Suffolk University, which commenced leading up to the Massachusetts Gubernatorial Final Election.

Over the next several months, 7News and Suffolk will release a regular pattern of surveys and daily tracking executed in key swing states designed to monitor the upcoming Presidential primary and the final election of 2004.

“Everyone at 7News is excited and looks forward to continue the polling partnership with Suffolk University on what is a valuable source of information for our viewers as they consider their vote for the upcoming Presidential election,” said 7News’ Director Ed Kosowski.

“This has proven to be a unique collaboration between two longtime neighbors in the Boston area; it makes perfect sense to move forward,” said Michael R. Ronayne, Dean of Suffolk University’s College of Arts & Sciences.

Suffolk University Professor David Paleologos, political pollster and director of the University’s Political Research Center, will again serve the role of expert political analyst and join Andy Hiller, 7News’ Senior Political Editor, on various 7News newscasts throughout the presidential campaign season.

Hiller is widely regarded as the most provocative political reporter in New England, and 7News highlights his analysis of political events throughout newscasts as well as in a regular segment entitled “The Hiller Instinct.”

Professor Paleologos will manage a team of student pollsters trained to regularly monitor upcoming political races, analyze results and help educate the public on key issues leading up to the Presidential election. Suffolk University will continue to break new ground by posting on its website (www.suffolk.edu) statistical data from each study that is conducted during the Presidential primary and final elections.
