Images of September 11 Caregivers

Artist Barry Goldstein became involved with and has made riveting portraits of a number of medical interns who performed triage and after care following the 9/11 attack on Lower Manhattan. The artist has followed their experiences since then and offers poignant insights on their harrowing experiences. The New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University Project Space presents a number of images from a book published by Goldstein.

Paintings Inspired by Colombia’s Indigenous Peoples

Works from painter Rick Harlow, inspired from his frequent visits to Columbia, are on exhibit at the main NESADSU gallery . Harlow founded and for a number of years managed a papermaking business with Colombia’s indigenous peoples. He also has become involved in their rituals and shamanism. These are the resources for the large paintings on display. Recently a film featuring the artist premiered in Holland.

Both artists work in North Adams, Mass. The exhibits run through Dec. 15, 2006.
